TFC Toys Cerberus (Generation One Jallguar with Jaguarbreast)
Jaguarbreast
Jaguarbreast’s jaguar mode looks great. I don’t love the translucent red plastic for his legs and tail.
Jallguar
Vehicle Mode: I like Jallguar’s vehicle mode, but there is one issue. The missile launchers on the back don’t connect to each other and don’t lock in place so it’s a real pain to get them lined up in the same position. I love the molding on his tires.
Robot Mode: In robot mode Jallguar is a big brick and he looks amazing. His head sculpt is great and Jaguarbreast looks better than most of his teammates both in breastplate mode and gun mode. Like some of his teammates, Jallguar’s chest port is raised, but only slightly, and his chest is flat, so Jaguarbreast looks like he’s actually part of his chest and not an accessory that’s been stuck on. Again, the translucent plastic does nothing for me, and the original toy did not have translucent red plastic, so it makes little sense that they used it here. I don’t have a problem with making his hands and feet a different color, but a darker opaque red plastic would have looked better.
Overall: Jallguar is a pretty great toy. Other than the translucent red plastic, I don’t have any complaints.
