Blog #2434: Toy Review: TFC Toys Aiakos (Generation One Guyhawk with Hawkbreast)

TFC Toys Aiakos (Generation One Guyhawk with Hawkbreast)

Hawkbreast

Hawkbreast looks like a distant cousin to Laserbeak. I love his head sculpt.

Guyhawk

Vehicle Mode: Guyhawk’s jet mode is awesome. I wish his wings locked in place. The hinges don’t quite want to stay straight.

Robot Mode: In robot mode he looks fantastic. Colors are great and I like the head sculpt. That smirk on his face is great. The port on his chest is raised, so Hawkbreast does not look like he’s part of Guyhawk’s chest, but like he’s just attached to it.

Overall: Guyhawk looks great in both modes, but TFC Toys prioritized the animal modes of the partners over their gun and chest plate modes in most case. So the guns and chest plates don’t look great, but the animals look awesome. My only real complaint is that for the cost, I would have liked Guyhawk to be a little larger.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
