Botcon 2022 Toys (Albitron, Dragonfire, Motley Roo, Siberius, Boxx Monkey, Dark Klawd, Ligerstrike)

All the Botcon 2022 Exclusives are Beast Box toys manufactured by 52 Toys. They are animals that transform into cubes. Yes, cubes, or boxes if you prefer. I guess they bring new meaning to the old phrase, “it’s hip to be square.” Except that it’s not, because they aren’t. They don’t transform into anything, but they do transform, so they are a step up on Wasp Raider. I just wish they had an alt mode that didn’t make you ask the question, “what’s in the box?” No, it’s not a human head. Transforming from animals to human heads would be better, but don’t get me wrong, they do look kinda cool, and a few of them are meant to represent actual Transformers characters.

Albitron

Albitron was available in the convention box set. He’s one of my favorites. I love the fish on his back. Albitron is meant to be the unproduced white Beast Wars gator Megatron that was supposed to be done for Transcon 2.

Dragonfire

Also from the box set, Dragonfire looks cool, but was an absolute nightmare to transform. Cool looking in animal mode, but I’m never taking him out of the box again.  Dragonfire is based on the Shattered Glass Rodimus.

Motley Roo

The third figure on the box set, Motley Roo comes with a bunching bag and her baby, Josie. That is a great name, and who doesn’t love a boxing kangaroo? The colors are great, and I love the boxing gloves. Motley Roo is meant to be Shattered Glass Soundwave.

Siberius

I had an issue with Siberius, the final toy from the box set. One of his joints was loose, not sure if this was common, and it’s been so long since I took the pic, I don’t remember which one it is. He looks great. I love the colors, and he has a great beast mode. Siberius is meant to be Mutant Tigatron.

Boxx Monkey

The freebie exclusive was Boxx Monkey. I love the visor and red and silver color scheme. Boxx Monkey is meant to be Burning Convoy.

Dark Klawd

I think he’s meant to be a wolf, or at least something canine related. Dark Klawd is one of the souvenir toys. Probably my least favorite of the bunch. Nothing wrong with him, just not as interesting looking as the others. Dark Klawd is meant to be Shattered Glass Optimus Prime.

Ligerstrike

I really like Ligerstrike, but why these colors? They could have done Lio Convoy colors, or Razorclaw colors, or Beast Wars Prowl colors, or even one of the crazy rare Lio Convoy color variants. Missed opportunity. He is in actuality meant to be Shattered Glass Megatron.
