Transformers: Authentics Alpha Class Megatron

Megatron

Alpha Class Megatron is a new mold, though it is based on the newer Bravo Class toy. It looks okay, but feels very cheap, more so than other Alpha Class toys. He has a design flaw. His right arm popped off and I can’t get it back on. The issue is that the ball is at the end of a bar that slides into his chest. I can’t get enough pressure while holding the bar out, and when it’s slid all the way in it’s too far to fit into the joint. I need to fiddle with it some more, I probably can get it back on, but it shouldn’t be this hard to reattach a ball joint. Paint apps are minimal in tank mode, but he doesn’t need many. Looks pretty decent in robot mode, though his knees suck. For transformation his knees bend left to right and don’t really want to stay uniform on both sides, so he’s hard to get standing straight.

Overall: For completists only.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
