Japanese Transformers Prime Arms Micron Baru
Baru has not previously been released, but is scheduled to ship in different colors with a future Arms Micron release.
Kit: The kits are fairly easy to assemble, and so far the stickers seem to be staying on well. The plastic is higher quality than the Kabaya kits. They have no paint apps and are perfect for customizers to paint up for a more elaborate look. Each Arms Micron includes something like a spark crystal, but I’m not sure if that is the intent of it. A sticker goes on before the outer translucent plastic to form it. They look nice, but I had some problems getting the crystal to stay in on some of them. Might need a little glue.
Weapon Mode: Baru is a hatchet, and a really nice looking one. I like the brown color scheme with the silver stickers.
Robot Mode: I’m not sure what kind of bird Baru is supposed to be. It’s not as nice as Gul, but still decent. It would have been nice if he didn’t have the weapon handle protruding out from his wing, but it’s not too bad.
Overall: Certainly not the best Arms Micron, but not the worst either. The hatchet mode is definitely the highlight.
Combined Weapon Mode
Together, Gabu, Baru, and Dai form the sword Dark Matter Calibur (at least I believe that is it’s name).
Unlike the fancy sword that can be combined from O.P., B.2, and R.A., this is more of a simple broadsword. It’s big and very well designed.
