This isn’t going to be a great review.  I’ve been trying to write it for a few weeks and can’t seem to come up with anything, and that’s probably because it wasn’t that great a movie.  In short, great affects, decent acting, and a very simple story makes me wish I’d seen The Hunger Games again and waited for DVD to see this.

Last November it was announced that writers had been hired for a third movie in this franchise.  At this point, while the sequel has done a little better than the original internationally, it’s made less than half (74 million) the original’s 163 million in North America.  While the movie was no doubt affected by being released while The Hunger Games was ruling the box office, I’m still not expecting a third one, which is really fine with me, as this movie does seem a good place to end the story.
